The 10 Best Gyms in Ubud: Day Passes and Real Prices (2026)
Updated October 2026 · No paid placements
Updated October 2026 · By Alex M., our Bali-based editor - on the island since 2019 · Independent ranking, placement is never paid
How we choose: in Ubud the question is never just "is it a good gym", it is "what does a day cost, is there air conditioning, and how far up a hill is it". So we ranked on the things that decide your week: the published day pass and monthly rate in IDR, the state of the equipment, whether the room is cooled, what recovery is on site, and who the place is actually built for. Prices come from the gyms' own price pages, local Ubud guides and 2026 fitness guides; where sources disagree we show the range and say so, and anything unpublished is marked "n/a" rather than guessed. Nobody can buy a place on this list.

The only gym in Ubud that publishes its whole price list, and the list is the argument: 275,000 IDR buys a day of unlimited classes plus open gym, 165,000 buys open gym alone, a week is 750,000 and a month 1,850,000. On site you get a CrossFit floor, a small pilates studio, physio, a cafe and a recovery area with sauna and cold bath sold separately at 150,000 a session, or 80,000 added to a day pass. It is also the biggest training community in town, which is what makes a two-week stay work.

The biggest, coldest, best-equipped room in the Ubud area: Matrix machines, a serious free-weight floor, a CrossFit zone, studios, a fight club and a sauna, all inside the PARQ complex. If you train seriously and the heat is what usually ruins your session here, this is the answer, and the monthly rate reflects it at 1,700,000 IDR gym only or 2,700,000 with the sauna.

The Ubud branch of the island chain, and the easiest choice if you move between districts: modern equipment, a recovery area, a cafe worth eating in, and a pass that works across the network's other locations, including Canggu. At 280,000 a day it is priced like a premium gym, but the monthly rate at 1,480,000 undercuts PARQ by a clear margin.

Not really a gym, a club: a 25 metre lap pool, a family pool, sauna and steam, jacuzzi, squash, a skate park, courts, a coworking lounge and a restaurant, with a compact gym in the middle of it. The day-pass picture is genuinely inconsistent, which is worth knowing before you ride out: listings sell an adult day pass around 190,000 IDR, including a 75,000 food and drink credit, while local guides quote 310,000 for the walk-in club pass. Ask what your pass covers before you pay.

An open-air box built into the jungle above Sanggingan: free weights, boxing, walk-in HIIT sessions, an ice bath and a restaurant, all without walls. Training outdoors in Ubud humidity is either the best part of your day or the reason you leave early, so come at eight in the morning or after five, not at noon.

The recovery-first club: pool, hammam, sauna, cold baths and a cafe, with the gym as one part of a longer visit rather than the whole point. Priced at the top of the market and honest about what it is, this is where you go when the session matters less than what happens after it.

The newest of the premium rooms south of Ubud, with state of the art equipment and the full recovery stack: steam room, red light, sauna, plunge pools and a lap pool. At 350,000 IDR a day it is the priciest single visit in this ranking, and it only makes sense if you use the water and the recovery side as well as the weights.

The value pick, and the one most long-stayers end up on. An air-conditioned room with free weights, machines, cardio, a boxing corner, a squash court and a view over rice paddies, at a day rate under a fifth of the premium clubs. Fifty thousand rupiah a day, and a sauna, showers and a protein bar for it. The local iron room, and the cheapest working gym in Ubud: machines, a weight rack, trainers on the floor, a mixed crowd of Balinese lifters and long-stay foreigners. No air conditioning at all, so it gets genuinely hot by mid-morning, and cleanliness is a step below the premium clubs. If you train early and care about the barbell more than the finish, it is unbeatable value.

From 40,000 to 350,000 IDR depending on what you want. Local iron rooms like Massa's are 40,000 to 50,000 and Boom Gym is 50,000. An air-conditioned mid-range room like Ubud Fitness Centre is 90,000 to 100,000. The premium clubs run 250,000 to 350,000: Jungle Box 250,000, Ubud.Fitness 275,000 with classes or 165,000 for open gym only, RAW 280,000, Nova 300,000 to 350,000 and Bali Eden 350,000.
Which gyms in Ubud have air conditioning?
Gymnasium Bali at PARQ has the best cooling in the area, and Ubud Fitness Centre in Peliatan is the cheapest air-conditioned room at 90,000 to 100,000 IDR a day. Titi Batu, RAW and Bali Eden are climate-controlled indoors. Jungle Box is deliberately open-air, and Massa's, Boom Gym, Resya and Ubud Gym have no air conditioning at all, which matters more in Ubud than on the coast.
What does a monthly gym membership cost in Ubud?
Between 350,000 and 2,900,000 IDR. Boom Gym is 350,000, Massa's 540,000, Ubud Fitness Centre 550,000, Titi Batu about 1,450,000, RAW 1,480,000, Gymnasium Bali 1,700,000 gym only or 2,700,000 with sauna, Ubud.Fitness 1,850,000 with unlimited classes, and Nova 2,900,000. Longer commitments drop the daily cost sharply, which is why one-month rates beat repeated day passes after about a week.
Which Ubud gym is best for CrossFit?
Ubud.Fitness, still known to many as CrossFit Ubud, in Lodtunduh. Classes run through the day, the box has physio and a cafe on site, and a day of unlimited classes plus open gym is 275,000 IDR. Gymnasium Bali at PARQ has a CrossFit zone too if you want it inside an air-conditioned full-size gym.
Where can I do an ice bath or sauna in Ubud after training?
Ubud.Fitness sells recovery-area access with sauna and cold bath at 150,000 IDR a session, or 80,000 added to a day pass. Jungle Box has an ice bath on site, Gymnasium Bali has a sauna, and Nova and Bali Eden are built around cold baths, steam and plunge pools. Our island-wide recovery ranking covers the dedicated bathhouses.
What is the cheapest gym in Ubud?
Massa's Fitness Centre in Peliatan at 40,000 to 50,000 IDR a day (540,000 a month), then Boom Gym in Lodtunduh at 50,000 a day and 350,000 a month, which is the cheapest monthly rate in this ranking. Both are local iron rooms without air conditioning. If you want cooling, the cheapest cold room is Ubud Fitness Centre at 90,000 to 100,000 a day. Anything from 190,000 up (Titi Batu, Gymnasium Bali, Jungle Box, Ubud.Fitness) is the expat-standard tier.
Can I buy a weekly gym pass in Ubud instead of day passes?
Only one gym publishes one: Ubud.Fitness sells 3 days for 600,000 IDR, 7 days for 750,000 and 14 days for 1,000,000, so a week there costs less than three single day passes at 275,000. The other nine sell day passes and monthly memberships only, which means a two-week visitor pays day rates (190,000 to 350,000 a visit) or buys a month they will not use. For a stay of ten days or more, Ubud.Fitness's 14-day pass or a cheap month at Boom Gym (350,000) or Ubud Fitness Centre (550,000) is the better arithmetic.
Which gym in Ubud has a sauna?
Three with something hot or cold on site: Gymnasium Bali at PARQ sells a membership tier with sauna (2,700,000 IDR a month against 1,700,000 without), Bali Eden has a sauna and a plunge pool beside its lap pool, and Ubud.Fitness runs a recovery area with sauna and cold bath at 150,000 a session or 80,000 added to a day pass. Jungle Box has an ice bath but no sauna. Nobody in Ubud yet runs a dedicated contrast circuit like the ones in Canggu.
Are gyms in Ubud cheaper than in Canggu?
At the top no, at the bottom yes. The headline day passes are similar: Ubud.Fitness 275,000 IDR, RAW Ubud 280,000, Nova 300,000 to 350,000 against Canggu's Surya 250,000, Avenue Fitness 250,000, Body Factory from 350,000 and TOPGYM 400,000++ on weekdays. Where Ubud wins is the local tier: 40,000 to 100,000 a day at Massa's, Boom and Ubud Fitness Centre, where Canggu's cheapest comparable room (Pucuk Bali Gym) is 50,000 a day and 175,000 a week. Canggu has more gyms with recovery areas and classes included; Ubud has more quiet, cheap rooms within a scooter ride of the centre.
Is this Ubud gym ranking sponsored?
No. No gym can buy a place and we take no commission. Prices come from gym price pages, local Ubud guides and 2026 fitness guides. Where two sources disagree, such as the Titi Batu day pass, we show the range instead of picking the flattering number, and unpublished prices are marked "n/a".
